This is for fun and no profit. Author's Note(s): My first foray into writing fanfic! Written for the Harry Potter Random Facts Fest. ETA: Have also written a pair to this: 20 Random Facts about Ronald Weasley. 1. Sometimes, just sometimes, she thinks she’s too smart to be a witch. She might instead have won the Nobel Prize she had dreamed about until she was eleven. 2. And she wouldn’t have spent years of her teenage life fleeing from death. 3. And she wouldn’t have met the Weasleys. That’s when she’s glad she’s a witch. 4. She isn’t sure she would have fallen in love with Ron if she hadn’t loved his family too. How good his parents were to each other, to their children, to her. She enjoys the fact that if she wants time away from Ron she can hang out with Ginny, or George in the shop, or explain more Muggle inventions to Arthur Weasley. 5. But she doesn’t visit Shell Cottage. 6. She sometimes spells words with the letters the wrong way around, like ‘twnety’. No one knows about this — well, not until now. She’s charmed her quills to fix it automatically, so that the letters swirl and dance around each other until they fall into place. (If she still used Muggle computers she’d have though the auto-correct function was cute.) But since you can’t use charmed quills in exams, she’s had to be extra careful, not that she isn’t always anyway. 7. They’re painting magical portraits of her, and Harry, and Ron, to hang in the Ministry. She thinks they should be in Hogwarts — after all, that’s where they were students and where so much of this happened. 8. She really likes having the Order of Merlin, First Class, and had trouble restraining herself when Harry refused on behalf of all of them. Fortunately Kingsley wouldn’t take no for an answer. 9. Ron likes his too. 10. He also likes it when she kisses him there, and she loves it when he moans quietly into her neck. 11. They haven’t made love yet (she can’t think of it as ‘having sex’, not when they’ve been through so much and waited so long). 12. She’s planning to do it on his eighteenth birthday. 13. She plans too much. It gives her comfort. 14. Her parents still haven’t fully forgiven her. After she explained the memory modification and the whole fighting-for-the-saviour-of-wizarding-people-and-escaping-multiple-deaths thing, their chief concern was that she hadn’t told them before, not that she messed with their minds. She’s still their little girl, and this makes them feel incompetent. 15. When she dies she wants to be a ghost in Hogwarts, so that she can tutor students. And she’ll be able to keep learning forever. 16. She had a crush on Fred during fifth year. She thought the twins’ pranks against Umbridge were brave and brilliant, even though she shook her prefect’s finger at them. And Fred flirted with her as he teased her about it. 17. She knows George was gay. She’s not sure if he cares enough now to be anything to anyone. 18. She thinks that girl who portrays her in the movies is beautiful. But she doesn’t like that, because it suggests that brainy girls can only get boyfriends if they’re gorgeous as well. 19. Also, her eyebrows really don’t do that. 20. Sometimes she has extremely random thoughts, like this one, that are just way too silly to share. (Comment on this)

This is for fun and no profit. Author's Note(s): My second foray into writing fanfic! Written for the Harry Potter Random Facts Fest. This is a pair to my 20 Random Facts about Hermione Granger. 1. He knows he will always feel a little insecure as the ‘third wheel’ or the least obviously talented of the Weasley children. It’s just something that defines him. 2. It’s how he could support Harry all these years. 3. His greatest fear, now that Voldemort is defeated and they are (almost) all still alive, is that the third wheel will become unnecessary. 4. He thinks women get hotter as they get older — example Madam Rosmerta. 5. He doesn’t include his Great-Aunt Muriel in this theory. 6. He’s planning to seduce ‘Mione good and proper on her eighteenth birthday. He’s discovered that this is when Muggles turn of age, and he wants her to be amazed that he knows this. 7. He’s not a virgin; Lavender Brown was hot and he was a sixteen-year-old boy. It’s not something he regrets. 8. At least he did it before his little sister did (on the night after the war, with his best friend). 9. His second greatest fear is hurting Hermione when they make love for the first time. 10. But he's thrilled he's the first one and it makes him love her even more. 11. He wishes there was another book: 12 Fail-Safe Ways To Deflower Your Girlfriend. 12. He thinks about sex too often, as demonstrated by these facts. 13. He thinks about Fred too. He doesn’t like being the fifth brother now. And there’s no one to give him witty and useful advice on girls, and … and things, and to lighten the mood. George’s quiet now; Bill’s married and away; he could ask Charlie but he’s afraid the answers wouldn’t be funny; and asking Perce doesn’t even bear thinking about. 14. He doesn’t know that George wouldn’t have had much advice about girls and things anyway. 15. He’s thinking about sex again. 16. The teddy bear that was transfigured into a spider? He still has it in his trunk. 17. The actor who plays him in the movies is brilliant, of course. No one believed it was he who had cast the successful simulacrum charm until he showed it to them four times. His mother wasn’t happy, but it made George smile. 18. His Hermione isn’t as pretty as the one in the movies, but you can’t have everything. 19. He wasn’t attracted to Hermione until sixth year, when he realised Lavender wasn’t correcting his homework for him. This sounds selfish, but attractions are selfish, particularly when you’re sixteen. 20. He doesn’t like people writing random facts about his life as though they know him. All the same, some of them are pretty cool, and he’s learnt to laugh at the ones that are just plain wrong :-P (Comment on this)
